Marry me girl be my fairy to the world Be my very own constellation A teenage bride with a baby inside Getting high on information And buy me a star on the boulevard It's Californication
I like to compare California to an amusement park. If god create the world in seven days, he was in a funny mood when he was drawing California x's and o's. It simply has everything. From the ugly to the beautiful, from the beach to the ski, from the wine to the beer, it has it all.
Psychic spies from China Try to steal your mind's elation Little girls from Sweden Dream of silver screen quotations And if you want these kind of dreams It's Californication
According to James Truslow Adams the American Dream is a set of ideals in which freedom includes the opportunity for prosperity and success. In easy words, life should be better, richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement regardless of social class or circumstances of birth.
Pay your surgeon very well To break the spell of aging Sicker than the rest There is no test But this is what you're craving
Do I like California? I like and hate California. Walking down Hollywood, you realize there is something, but that all the glamour die long ago. LA is full of traffic and people seem to work so hard to stay out the hot water that they don't have the energy to enjoy it. I felt trap. I was looking at this beautiful apple for hours, but knew only too well what was going to happen if I was to set myself free and obey to the temptation.
People live in a jungle where they dream of being the lion king... but all they are reward is to see with their own eyes what they want.
Driving down Highway 1, you see a whole other side of California. Your depression turns to believe. Believe that the world is fair. You are smiling at the wild life and when you get used to being surprise, there is always the next turn. You are getting pass by those wild road horse, but you don't give a shit. Your pony will take you all the way and the longer it takes, the better it is. After all, life is fair and whatever how hard the road is, there will always be the Eden Garden comes the week-end.
When you think it is time to turn around that you saw it all, you end up in the clouds crossing that famous red bridge. You can't see 10 meters in front of you, but your ride act like a magnet and you let it go like it is the only thing to do. You end up on this Island, where being happy is a priority, where ideas are good to share
and where every hike up a hill will reward you with a beautiful view.
On the way out, you stop in the mountains to wonder. You test yourself against the giant thing in front of you and you try to conquer the track seeking the best view. The moment you will remember. All you want is to be proud comes the night. The next day, you realize how much you love this place and start thinking about moving here, but you have to leave for now. You swear to the locals you will comeback and you start driving. This is when you enter the desert. The sun is hitting you. California got one hand on your wrist and won't let you go without a fight. It is getting hotter the closer you get from the border. Sooner that you thought, you start considering turning around and go back to the coast. You start thinking of collapsing, after all you might end up waking up in the arms of Pamela Anderson. Isn't that what she does in Baywatch.
I like California and she want you to like her.
