Marilyn's Crypt
Andrew standing at the grave of Marilyn Monroe in Westwood Memorial Park We started our third day in Los Angeles on Wilshire Boulevard on either side of the I405 visiting Marilyn Monroe’s crypt at Westwood Memorial Park in Westwood and then the place of her death at 5th Helena in Brentwood. They say she died in a modest house in a modest suburb but these days Brentwood is hardly a modest neighbourhood. We continue to be amazed at the quality of landscaping and upkeep in this huge metropolis - there must be hundreds of thousands of gardners employed. While the first two days were hot with blue skies, today was a lot cooler and overcast. We spent the remainder of the day at Universal Studios getting to all the rides and attractions we missed out on last time as well as the new Simpsons Ride which was fantastic. We had planned to attend the Angels v Dodgers baseball game at dodger Stadium however we got home late and had laundry and preparation for our departure to New Zealand to attend to. And on that note, this is likely the last blog from Andrew & Tish as we are in a camper van for the next week in New Zealand and are unlikely to
