LA Monday 17 May
believe it or not, this will be fairly short and NO pix - all this cream all the time! - it takes me so long and I am very tired after about 4 hrs sleep last nite organising my Vegas fly-by which starts tomorrow - flight up on Tues. @ noon - back Friday + 3 niths in 4 star hotel Luxor - $471! - cheapest one way fare was $150 alone - so think I will come back and train down to San Diego to complete the S Cal thing.

Spent the morning freezing on an open topped bus doing the Hollywood tour for $10 - Mondays is very quiet and only about 5 people on incl. me. Just as well one of the bus people lent me a zipped hoodie - my knees were still knocking at the end. It was completely clouded over and San Fran is about 12 at mo!
When back from the hills to Museum of Contemp Art - and saw multiple Rothkos, a smallish Jackson Pollock which is not a patch (or dribble?) on “our” Blue Poles- lots of Claes Oldenburg and photos by Robert Frank, who is one of my faves - not to mention a photo taken in Vegas used on Exile in Main St collage (but no Diane Arbus!). Worth $10 on it own - but did not have time to make the Geffen annex over in Little Tokyo which is incl. if same day..

Dashed back for some Cambodian vermicelli and my warm fleece jacket and then on the shuttle up to Dodgers Stadium to see them play Houston Astros. Pretty sure they would have won but at 9pm I was flagging and outa there - just not before I just had to try a Dodgers Dog - weiner in roll - plenty of mustard and sauce - quite OK. The seat cost $20 bought when I arrived - ground only 60% full - it was Monday - and I had a very elevated view which was nice.
