Disney Day 2
Luigi's Flying TyresSo today we were then up early once more to hit Disney's California Adventure. We just got there about 10 minutes before 9.00am to once more take advantage of the early entry. When we got there it seems everyone had the same idea. First stop was the new Cars ride which had a line that went for 200 metres before we even got into the front gate! The guys at the Cars place said we may as well get in line now as it was only going to get longer! Well I joined the line and Lisa and the girls then went and had another ride.
The wait wasnt actually too long in the end and it was defintiely worth it. All said it was fantastic. Greta who seems to know more about the cast of Cars then any of us educated us as to the who was who in the Cars zoo. All up we were out of there just before 10.00am
The balance of the day was spent cruising around the park. The white water raft ride got us all soaked and was a hit apart from Greta who didn't quite like the concept. It was warm
Disney Day 2
Lola on King Triton's Magic Roundabout. She got on it to humour Greta but we think she was having fun outside so the balance of us saw the upside.
Greta was particularly fond of some of the Pixar type rides which for Madi and Lola may have seemed to be a bit pedestrian tho I think they all like the Toy Story 3D ride/game
The final ride of the day was taken by Lola and Lisa and was the Hollywood Hotel of Terror. Basically is was a lift that shot up quickly and then free fell to various floors. When the doors opened you were faced with terrifying sights. Mads and I didn't see the point - especially when we are going to need to use lifts for the rest of our live's.
So Day 2 ended with another dip in the pool and the hotel water slides followed by Goofy's Kitchen. Lisa and I are afraid Greta is going to be arrested for stalking Minnie Mouse..shirt, leggings and her own Minnie Doll...if only she could stop calling her Mickey every third or fourth time!
Well we thought the day was over but Lola it seems wanted to squeeze one more ride in! Seems the egg free brownie she had been eating at Goofy's kitchen accidentally
Disney Day 2
Swinging into Action got switched with one that included egg. So after feeling funny for a while and then really nauseous she had a trip in an ambulance to the local hospital. All a bit of scare and she only had three bites of it. Lola actually said it tasted different but as we had spoken to the chef at the start of the meal and as it was the same thing she had for the two previous days we told her it couldnt be different. Turns out it was. Thankfully she didnt eat the whole thing cos the result could have been more serious than it was. taught Lisa and i another lesson and reinforced the need to be diligent.
For all those reading this please be assured Lola is fine now and hit the Disneyland trail with a vengeance the next day
