We woke up around 9.30AM but given the late night we took a while to get going. It was around 11.00AM by the time we left the room so it was too late to use the continental breakfast downstairs. We went down the road to Millie’s which is an all day diner.
Breakfast here was really good. Kerry & I had eggs on toast with some toast, whilst Luke had a massive pancake on the side.
We then headed into California Adventure Park as we still had 2 days of our 4 day passes to be used.
First up Luke & I went on the Hollywood Tower Hotel ride which was good, and then we all went on a few rides in the Ant Section. Next up we went to the Paradise Pier area where we got fast passes for California Screamin’ and then went and tried to join the queue for Toy Story ride but it was 45 minute wait so we decided to go on the Mickey Mouse Ferris Wheel. Problem however it was closed for maintenance !
We headed into one of the shops as Luke i still looking to buy or swap some
Disney Pins, and when we came out people were going on the Ferris Wheel again so he hopped on. Kerry & Elise were on the fixed cabin, and Luke & I braved to go on the rolling one which swings back and forth as you go up and over the top.
After this we went and joined the Toy Story queue. It was a joke and took 57 minutes to get on the ride. I did however reach a PB with some 138,000 points this time but no ride is worth an hours wait. It was a Sunday and another beautiful day with sunny skies and around mid 20’s which may have impacted the size of the crowds but everywhere in the park was OK except for this ride.
The kids then did two rounds of California Screamin’ ride with the second go right out in front seat.
We then had a late lunch at the same Cafe we went to on our previous visit and I had the same Broccoli and Cheese Soup in a Sour Dough Loaf. Delicious and accompanied by a Hot Cocoa.
We finished off by riding on the Rocket ride and then
the swinging chairs and we were back in the room by around 7PM.
Luke went down to get something from the car but could not get it to unlock. Down I go to se what he is doing wrong, and to my surprise I can’t get the car doors to unlock either. It’s then I realise what I have done. Stupid !
When I got home last night from the NBA game I did not turn off the headlights manually. Yep, it looks like flat battery syndrome. I am simply used to head lights turning off automatically.
I called up the roadside assistance guys, and they urned up in about an hour, and gave me a jump start. No charge but I gave him a $10- tip and then I the drove around the Disneyland precinct about 10 laps in half an hour to get the battery recharged. I got back to the Hotel parking lot, and bravely switched of the ignition. I turn in back on and you beauty the sound of an engine cranking over.
It’s about 8.30PM now and Kerry wanted dinner, but not the kids so we head back to Mille’s again
which is only two doors up the road. Not real hungry so I had this half a Tuna sandwich with soup of the day dish. Kerry just had the soup which was a Creamy Chicken with wild rice whatever that is meant to be. She had 2 glasses of Chardonnay and I had 2 Corona’s and we went back to the room to start the packing process once again.
This time we are packing for good, as tomorrow at midnight we depart for home but we still have a whole day to fill but packing has to be done tonight as we check out by 11AM. We are going to leave our luggage in the Hotel, and walk over to Disneyland to finish the holiday.
