Picked up the vehicle today, a Chevrolet Suburban 350 V8 5.7 Litre - a nice truck.
Picked the vehicle up from a Funny car shop - WOW, take about a boys dream. These guys have a budget of 11m US to run two cars this year. 800 HP, 0 - 100mph in 1 second and over 300mph in 3 seconds. Top speed achieved to date is 331mph - WOW
Costs $5000 US a run, motor stripped after every run.
Changed the ownership of the car at the DMV (Dept Motor Vehicles), a wait of 1 1/2 hours in line and that was on a good day.
Then Insurance - $130 US to insure the vehicle for 3 months, + $330 US for public liability.
Temperaure was 100F today, apparently we are in a heat trough, will last to thursday and then cool down.
