Left Vegas after that and we spent last night in Barstow, a little town with the distinction of having once been the number 1 meth producer in the USA (according to the nice young man I met at the motel after hours window who was “going out to get drunk”)!

Left Barstow the next morning, and thank goodness we saw a Starbucks. The coffee you get at motels etc is crap. We had McDonalds for breakfast, so we now know what biscuits and McGriddles are. The Americans really do have a sweet tooth.
