I'm going to go ahead and publish this even tho the pics are out of order but you get the idea 😊...Day 8 and I've been too tired to write by the time we have ended the days. I'll get right to the fun stuff. Here are some pics...first stop- grand junction..Big J's to buy a guitar for the trip...can't go 18 days without a guitar. Drove thru the colorado national monument and then onto rte 128 to Moab. Arches NP was beautiful and very hot. We took some great hikes and also loved Dead horse state Park. Moab is a great town. Anna celebrated her 12th birthday beginning in Moab and ending in Torrey, Utah where we stayed at the lovely Austin's Chuckwagon Motel. Then an awesome drive southwest on route 12..incredible views. I must say that beginning in the Colorado National Monument and on Route 12 I realized that I have an incredible fear of hieghts. You will see in some pics that Nicky definitley does not share that fear! Next stop was Bryce Canyon. Arnold and I woke up for the sunset, which was beautiful. did get a beautiful sunrise through some haze. We hiked the 3 mile peek-a-boo trail which was incredible. then onward to Page, Arizona. Yesterday we took a smooth water raft trip down the colorado river which was a pleasure. Anna and Nicky dove in the 47 degree water. Arnold and I waded...for about 5 seconds! Ouch-that is very cold! then a great adventure-a Hummer trip in the back country to secret slot canyon..so much fun. today we kayaked through Antelop canyon on Lake Powell. Tomorrow we head to the Grand Canyon, then Monument valley, then through colorado. We are looking forward to seeing Bonnie Raitt at Red Rocks Amphitheater outside of Denver before returning home. Hopefully I'll post again after mesa verde or Telluride!
