Dodger Stadium
Dodger Stadium from a distance. July 30th, 2013. 10:00pm
Day 21
We left Los Angeles at 6:35 am with 304 miles to go, heading for Yuma, Az. Dodger Stadium was rIght up the hill from our motel so we drove up there to get some pictures before we left Los Angeles . We didn't take any pictures since the road was blocked off. Getting out of Los Angeles took longer than expected. We took Ca-1 going by way of San Diego, passing through all the beaches, Long Beach, Huntington, Sunset, Laguna, Newport. It's just like you hear- houses built on hillsides. Makes you wonder how they stay up there. We stopped for gas in Spring Valley, 160 miles to go. The first part of that leg was mountainous and then came the Sonora Desert. It was hot but not as hot as the Mojave Desert. Also a plus was that the Model T ran without any problems. We got here to Yuma, Az. at 7:25 pm 104 degrees, so it was a long hot day.
