Grand Canyon - eventually

Well finally made it back to the hotel after what turned out to be a long day. The Grsnd Canyon was amazing....when we got there. The drive is only a couple of hours away but about 20 miles from the main point you have to come off the road and up a dirt track. This is when we hit problems! We managed to get a flat tyre - not exactly what you want when the nearest sign of civilisation is 20 miles away. Luckily we got the very thin spare on and a local gave us some emergency tyre filler in case we get another blow out. He told us that there wasa tyre place in the next town 24 miles away. However when we got there everything was shut. The long and the short is we made it back to Las vegas v slowly (5 1/2 hours to do 200 miles) and now all sorted.

Went over the Hoover Dam which is huge. Though traffic is bad round there at the moment dfue to Thanksgiving traffic. Wirth the slog though when you get to the top of the Canyon. It just seems to go on forever.

Anyway we're leaving Vegas tomorrow to head to San Diego so will update then
