Pictures from my favorite local hiking spot, Hatcher's Pass. Did a cool hike Friday up near the mine, a quick hike up to a lake I can't remember the name of. This was the beginning of the jumping pictures! Many more to come. Saturday I hiked the Reed Lakes trail through bushes of blue berries (watching out for bears), boulder fields, lakes and waterfalls. Gorgeous!!

The previous week was my Alaska birthday celebration: it started like this. 3am wake up to howling winds, canoeing in rain and tropical storm winds, tears of frustration and misery, 801b water challenge (don't ask, don't know what I was thinking), pure exhaustion. It finished like this: catered fabulous fajita dinner, surprise cheesecake, birthday momma and baby moose in camp, sitting around a campfire, bed. Thought it was all over but: surprised kidnapping to another birthday celebration where I had a memorable banana almond butter icecream, and pizza/bread/birthday cake with cocoa/coconut frosting. Such a horrible/awesome/memorable day!!!
