Totally Business
Thursday, June 10. Devote the whole day to the Mobile 'investment' house. Various meetings. One with a stager, who, if you haven't heard about them, dress a house in furnishings to give it a warm, model-home look. Pretty popular right now when the market's so bad. Took more pictures of the house now that it's painted and boasting new window shades and a few new plants in the front. At first glance it doesn't look a lot different than it did before. It's the smell of smoke I have to get rid of. Another meeting with Realtor to sign the paperwork. A few more things to do (ducts must be cleaned and carpets scrubbed). If all goes well, house will go on the market on Monday.
It's such a shame that a couple of careless, thoughtless people can ruin a house. It's also sad that this really beautiful house has to be sold at a bargain-basement price because of the upside-down economy.
And especially sad that I'm spending my travel money to
restore and then pay someone to buy it!

Beautiful
The home is beautiful, yards great- I really feel sorry for the people that are having to sell their property at this time. Spending Money to sell a house that is worth so much more - Taking a loss when everone is having such a hard time during this " Obama Recession ". The buyer is winner today. Would be wonderful if you wanted to move South. You have really accomplished a very difficult job - don't make you want to move SOUTH ??? Dot
