Valladolid, 13-01-1990. I have no complaints of the busses in Mexico so far. It took us three hours by air-conditioned bus to Valladolid, nice bus with reclinig seats and a sober chofer. We had heard stories back home in Amsterdam about all mexican drivers always being drunk and practising macho driving especially when there are gringos on board, not so far. Valladolid seems a pretty enough city but we are mostly here because of Valldolid's proximity to the ancient ruins of Chichen Itza. Since we live on a pretty tight budget we spent our evenings sitting outside and drinking beer from the supermercado instead of hitting the bars. Hopefully things will be cheaper in Guatamala and further south.
