Merida, Yucatan, Mexico at 11:00 p.m.
If you view the satellite image (loop) from the National Hurricane Center, http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/flt/t1/loop-vis.html, it appears that this big ol' boy of a hurricane is going to gobble up the Yucatan for a midnight snack. And he may well do so.
Merida, itself, is not feeling any effects. I expect that calm will be displaced soon.
Diario de Yucatan has a new article but not much to report for this blog. Will translate and read more in depth and report if there's something you may want to hear.
Go to sleep, y'all.
I'm fine.
