Beachside
We walked along this beautiful beach to our lunch destination Indiego. Geo: 20.8398, -86.8878
Today we drove down to Playa de Carmen and walked along the beach. We had lunch at Indigo. We started with a table on the beach but a rain shower forced us inside. The food was excellent and we enjoyed a nice breeze through the pavilion. The margaritas we're huge as you can see by the pictures. After lunch we stopped at the grocery store, Mega, and purchased a few staples. It's always fun trying to read the signs and figure out what we're buying.
This evening we saw the most magnificent Cirque Du Soleil show and enjoyed an over-the-top dinner. We had unbelievable seats right by the stage. I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed a more amazing dinner and show in my entire life. Not only was the food exquisite but the presentation was artful to say the least. Breadsticks shaped like trees; a fruit spoon called dragon breath that was freeze dried fruit, very good, and when you ate it smoke or frost came out of your mouth and nose. You could eat the menu and it was delicious. Four different desserts were served in a hollowed out large book. I have honestly never
seen anything like it. I took a few pictures but they don't do it justice. This evening was worth the entire trip if we left tomorrow. The theme of the dinner followed the theme of the show. Cirque Du Soleil a permanent theater here on the resort. There were many people from other resorts that came to enjoy the show as well. The name of the show
was JOYA.
