¡Mis Nuevos Zapatos!
These are my really pretty new shoes. I love them! Queridos Amigos,
I hope everyones New Year went well. Mine was fun. I have been really busy so please forgive me for not writing. I will catch you up now though. It is almost a week though so it could get long.
Jueves (Thursday) - My 5 Month Anniversary
Well, the morning I spent in the house being bored. I was suppose to go to the movies with a bunch of my friends, but none of them could so I went by myself. It was actually really nice. I saw
Una Noche en el Museo, also known as One Night in the Museum. It was a really cute movie. If you are ever bored on a rainy day it is a nice thing to go see. Then I walked around the mall. I bought myself a pair of awesome new shoes. I know I am suppose to save my money, but they were cheap and I wanted a little Christmas gift from home, and since Auntie Dee-Dee sent me the money, they technically are a gift from home. I came home around 7, showered, and watched the tv. Then it was beddy-bye time.
Viernes - Friday
Well, I actually
Fabiola y yo
Here I am, with Fabiola cleaning dishes. Don't worry I am not that happy about cleaning dishes. It is just for the camera. didn't leave the house Friday. My friends that invited me to Puerto Vallerta never called me. No big deal. It was kinda ok though, because the lady who cleans the house, Felix, didn't come. Fabiola and I had fun cleaning the house together though. There was a party I could have gone to but nobody seemed to know where it was. So I stayed home and packed my bags for Guadalajara. It was a relaxing day.
Sabado - Saturday
Fabiola left for Puerto Vallerta with her friends, so my host parents, Gaby and I were gonna leave for Guadalajara, but Felix didn't show up again, so I had to help my host mom clean the house again. Not so much fun with her. In fact, I hated cleaning with her because I swear she has obsessive cumpolsive disorder. Nothing is good enough for her. Then my host father got mad, because we were going to leave at 8 and because we needed to clean the house, we didn't leave until 11. It was so fustrating. The car ride was pretty uneventful. It was long though. I feel asleep so it didn't feel like three hours. We got there at
En la Carretera
This is a highway sign for Guadalajara. Pretty self explanitory. 3, because there is a one hour time difference. We bought some food and went to my "grandma's" house. We had lunch, unpacked, and settled in. Then my "aunt" and "cousin" came over for dinner. I wanted to see my "cousin" Satchl and we were going to go to the movies. She didn't show up though. She had to go with her dad. So everyone that was there decided we would go to a movie, except for my "grandma" because it was late and she is old. We went to the mall. It looked a lot like the Emerald Square Mall. It was pretty cool. The movie theater was on the top floor so we bought our tickets and snacks and then movie time! hehehe The movie was the James Bond one. I didn't really like it, but Adam if you are reading this I think you would. We got home at 12ish and went to bed.
Domingo (Sunday) - New Years Eve
We got up and made breakfast. Another one of my "aunts" came over. Gaby and I cleaned up and then we got to go to the mall. Yay! We went and looked at stuff for

This is my room in my "grandmother's" house. awhile. She bought some CDs and clothes, and I got a little book. It was nice spending time with her though. We got home a million people had come for lunch. I finally saw Satchl. I was fun. We talked and laughed and all that other stuff you do at family parties. We went to Luis's wife's parent's house for New Years Dinner. We had some drinks (only soda for me, although they were quite insistant that I drink tequila, but I think they were only joking). I finally go to watch english tv for an hour. At 12, we sat down for dinner. We had our toasts, and then we had to eat 12 grapes for the 12 months. They are good luck. Finally it was dinner time. They had tuna, pasta, shrimp, and salad. My host family knew I didn't like that stuff though so they were nice enough to get me a little pizza. So I had pizza, salad, and pasta. It was really thoughtful of them. Then we had cookies for dessert, lit some sparklers, and told jokes. It was really like being part of the family. Then I was SO tired I feel asleep on
Los Brindis
The wine glass for toasting and the twelve grapes for eatings. ¡Salud! (Cheers!) the couch. Around 3, my host family woke me up and we went to my "grandmother's" house sleep.
Lunes (Monday) - New Years
We got up and had a LATE breakfast. I was going to hang out with Sachtl but then my host father told me we were leaving today. So I finished breakfast, cleaned up, and packed my bag. We went to Luis's house to say good-bye. It was sad because it was the last time I will see them. I said good-bye to Carol, who I really like. She has been super nice. Then I said bye to Luisito. That was hard! He helped me a lot to get through the hard parts because I could play with him and he reminded me of Will. Plus he is too little to speak so I can talk to him in English and he won't ask me what did you say, he will just listen. I am pretty bummed because I won't get to meet Luis and Carol's new baby. I said bye to Lebrac to but I don't think he ever really warmed up to me, so it wasn't really anything heartfelt. Then we were back on the
Adios Luisito
This is the last picture I will ever take of Luisito. He is so cute. I thought him to blow kisses so now everytime he sees me he blows a kiss to me. I will miss him! :( road. When we got to Tepic, everyone was pretty hungry so we went to this really delicious Steakhouse. It was so good! We were there for a good two hours. Then I came home, unpacked, showered, and watched tv.
Martes - Tuesday
I woke up, went online, ate, and showered. Well around 10, I got a call from my friend, Heloisa (Brazil). She invited me over to her house. So around 12, I headed over there. Heloisa, her younger host sister and I walked to this store that was FAR away. It was a cute store though. Really girly, It reminded me of Claire's. We took a taxi back, thank god, because it was so hot! We got home had some lunch, and then we put on a movie, The Day After Tomorrow. I have seen it before but it was still pretty cool. Then we went online. At 7, her friend, Alfonso, came and picked us up. We just drove around in his car, listening to music, picking people up, and then dropping them off. We picked up Papa, one of Alfonso's friends, then Katy, Alfonso's cousin. We went and dropped Papa off, and then Katy. Then we
Heloisa y Alfonso
This is Heloisa and her friend Alfonso. Don't be intimidaded by the piercings, he is actually a big teddy bear. went a picked up Juliann (Brazil), and came back for Katy. Then Katy went home and Juliann, Heloisa and I went home too. In between all this dropping off and picking up, we got some tacos and they got some beers. It was a pretty fun night though. The music was good. We are gonna do it again on Saturday. They dropped me off home around 12, even though I didn't have a time I needed to be home, but Heloisa had to go home so I decided I would call it a night. My host parents were so happy I spent the whole day out. They didn't even ask where I went or with who, it was so wierd.
And now...I am just trying to figure out what I will do today. I really have no idea though.
Thats the fun part though, I never have plans anymore, they just kind of come to me, like yesterday was not planned at all! Well I am going to go grap some breakfast and shower.
I will write again soon.
Love,
Shayna P.S. Wish me luck because I will be changing families soon. Still no official date, but VERY soon.
And leave some comments! Oh and Happy One Month Anniversary to my blog. You should be very proud of me. I have been keeping this thing up for a month. Usually I get bored and give up.

They didn't have the subtitle version here, so I had to watch the dubbed one, jaja, but I understood it. Sounds like you're having fun up there....updateee! jeje
