We remember what it is like to have a lay-in, which is fantastic and just get ourselves sorted for the week ahead.

In addition to the two of us there are three others - Rachel from Switzerland (who's here for 3 months but seems pretty fluent already to us) and Toby and Sophie from England. These two are coming to the end of a 2 year trip away (1 year in Japan teaching and then working and travelling since). They have many interesting stories and are helping us understand Asia a lot more.

We arranged a "family" outing to the cinema to see Miami Vice. While it won't get nominated for an Oscar, or at least we hope not, it entertained us for a couple of hours.

The best part of the outing was going through more of the labyrinth of underground roads of Guanajuato. They are a real feat of engineering - going through the rock under the city centre - and play a key role in preserving Guanajuato's incredibly beautiful and atmospheric narrow streets.
