Company arrives to Mexico City - April 2012

We had a day to rest up from our very early flight from Puerto Rico. We then prepared for the arrival of Gord and Rita, our Canadian friends. It was a long, hot wait to get into the castle. Situated in the middle of the 26 square kilometre Chapultepec Park.

Not far from the castle, this monument honors the Heroes of Independence.

Any place to learn English is good. Even on the bus ride to the pyramids just outside of the city.

Our guide informed us of the 3 main pyramids and their uses. One was for business and justice, another was the pyramid of the sun and the last was the pyramid of the moon. We are on the main avenue of this 25 square km site.

Gord and I climbed the 365 steps to the top.

We did our final shopping on another avenue. Note the massive pyramid in the background.

We had borrow-a-bike cards. We took Gord and Rita through one of the many parks situated in our area and city.

Linda likes to cook, so we stayed in the apartment for our last meal together...... Followed by a few refreshments.

We dog sit for Terri. He's caught red handed on our bed! He prefers Maurice's side of the bed.

Sounds like you had a fun little vacation with your friends!! We are getting the travel itch again after reading your blog!! Like the sounds of the coco loco drink!! Isn't this Saskatchewan weather dreadful!! When we got home mid April we figured we would be back for the beautiful spring!! Ha ha. What are your plans for the summer?
