Hola, We've made it another 100 miles. From Isla Coronados to Santa Rosalia with stops in between. We left Isla Coronados and it was choppy with an East swell. The copper here is in the form of copper sulphate crystals. It was mined in veins. The ore was 15% copper. Once started the furnace was self sustaining. The copper would drop to the bottom and the sulfur became sulfur dioxide which burned and produced the heat to melt the incoming ore. The copper was drawn off for further processing.

The copper from the furnace was poured into these round cylinders and oxygen was pumped in. This burned out all of the impurities and resulted in 95% copper. This is called Blster Copper and was what was shipped.

Lots of these large Angel fish off a small island in the Bahia Conception. They are about a foot tall.
