Desert MexicainMillions of wild cactus as tall as 30 ft on a backdrop of mountains as high as the Rockies!
Very impressive the Baja! Not only by its sheer size. The variety of landscapes, often breathtaking, is simply amazing. 90% wild and protected (well, except from the Mexicans irresistible need to litter), we have been privileged to witness the wonderful gifts that nature and time have created.
We think of you all!
On pense a vous tous!
You understand we are doing this trip on your behalf right?
"El Sacrificio" restoUn minuscule resto familial in the middle of the desert! Excellent brunch prepared by the mom & her daughter. No parlar engles here!
Change of timeAu beau milieu de la peninsule, latitude 28, l'heure change. Back an hour in Guerrero Negro, the minute we cross "paralelo 28".
PlateauxAt some point, we are surrounded by mountains that lost their peak: volcano country!
Water hole of the day!
Mexican desertDressed like we did 5,000 kms ago. Cold (50F) in the morning, the Baja warms up to about 75F at mid-day.
Cactus... again!All shapes & sizes!
Pet me! Please!Une petite caresse svp?
I tried this position myself, unsuccesfully...
Barrage militaireThe army is checking drug trafficking closely on the #1. Bob took this picture from far... We crossed 4 check points so far.

Greetings - I always understood that you were doing this trip for me, and I thank you for taking such a heavy burden off my hands. That's one less thing I will have to do. LOL.
the weather looks nice... have you crossed any bad weather? What kinds of drug searches did the military do? Did they go thorugh all of your stuff? Did they take all of your booze? thatd be a shame! Did you bring enough scotch? How are the baby bottles doing? gone yet?
Salut Francois
Chanceux!!!
Bonne route et soyez prudent!!
Hélène
