Backpacking!!??Backpacking!!??Backpacking!!??

OK, we felt a bit bad having such a fancy car while driving through Canada but we were fortunate to get an upgrade to this brand new Pontiac!

Our road trip continued into Canada. From Seattle we went to Vancouver Island where we had a great day in Victoria with Pam and Richard. We got to watch an amazing firworks display in the Butchart gardens in Victoria.

After Vancouver Island we spent the day in Vancouver and then spent a superb evening with our special friends Jake & Luella before heading east on highway 1.

We enjoyed swimming in the lakes around Kelowna, hiking up to the Glaciers around Rogers Pass and camping & hiking in the Rockies.

The scenery around Banff was particularly beautiful. The water at Lake Louise and Morraine lake is unbelievable blue.

We flew from Calgary (via LA) to Hawaii.

Even bluer than Lake Louise! This lake was more rugged, less commercialised and unbelievably blue.

No, this is how we bathed in the bush! The Camelbak provided enough water for a decent shower!
