Hi everyone, today's journal entry is a simple update. Graduation is now completed and we are taking care of the not so fun part of our forthcoming adventure. The details--packing and paperwork. I have applied for an international driver's license and have begun to take care of some of the insurance issues. In order to get an international driver's license you must apply through your local CAA office. It costs $15 and you will need two passport photos. The insurance for our family will cost $1040 for $2 million emergency medical and life insurance for the ten months.
If you want to come to Costa Rica I can recommend a terrific tour company. Alonso was our guide last year when we went at Easter. He has a company that does custom tours. http://www.elementonatural.com/ Let me know if you are planning to contact him as I may be able to get you a discount or a commission(just kidding).
I have found a few excellent resources to help us plan our time in Costa Rica. The best to date is http://costa-rica-guide.com. The travelblog.org site is awesome as a resource for traveling anywhere in the world as there are thousands of journals. The empty boxes in the basement are calling so I had better get a move on...until next time. Pura Vida
