Autumn in the Notre Dame Mountains on the Gaspé Peninsula

I just want to share some photos we took while visiting the Matapedia Valley and the Baie-des-Chaleurs area of the Gaspé Peninsula at the beginning of October. The Notre Dame Mountains are an extension of the Appalachians that stretch from Sherbrooke to the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula in the province of Quebec.

Along the Highway

This photo was taken when we followed a dirt road that took us way back in the mountains.

The Restigouche River
The Restigouche River out of New Brunswick and the Matapedia River join before emptying into the Baie-des-Chaleurs.

Matapedia Valley
This one was taken along highway 132 a short way from the town of Mont Joli.

Crossing the Bridge
The bridge we are on crosses the Matapedia River from New Brunswick to Quebec.
