Climbing Mt. Finlayson

Woke up to a warm sunny day. The Martel's have a wonderful home on Bear Mountain. There are no bears on it but lots of dear that just wander out and eat the grass on the frount of people's yards! Maggie took us on a 6 km hike to Mt. Finlayson. It is a really challenging hike down and then up some very rugged terrain. The kids were troopers and made it all the way. There were some huge trees (see the picture with Rhys!). In the afternoon we went to watch Alex play with the Langford Shamrocks lacrosse team-they won in sudden death overtime. Had a great dinner with the whole gang.
