My Aussie friends decided that they wanted to watch whales too, so I swapped my booking to today. We had a fantastic time. We were out on the water for about 5 hours, and we saw Bald Eagles (about 30), a colony of Sea Lions, a lone porpoise AND a pod of about 20 whales. And flipping gorgeous they were too! The boat has to keep about 150 metres away from the whales by law, but at one point the pod turned and started swimming towards us. It was a really great day, and a fantastic experience. A huge thanks to all those at Network Rail who contributed to the event, and particularly to Karen Tordoff for organising it all. (Karen, I said "Hi" to Pamela for you. She says "Hi" back!)
