Canada Place
The sails at Canada Place on a cold wet morning It was a wet and cold day that greeted us when we stepped out of the hotel this morning but by mid afternoon the rain had stopped and the sun was out. It was a pretty casual day as we went to the imax theatre at Canada Place to see an underwater documentary while the rain tumbled down. Canada Place was also hosting a cheer leading competition and we got great views of the sea planes landing and the floating Chevron gas station in the middle of the bay.
In the afternoon, we checked out Gastown where we saw the worlds first steam clock. Gastown is a rejuvenated heritage street full of art galleries and tourist junk shops. We then walked through chinatown before heading back to the hotel.
although we were dressed in our ski jackets, it felt very cold .... a lot more colder than Whistler at minus 12 degrees, probably because Whistler had humidities in the 90% range.

It looks a wee bit miserable today eh? It brought back memories of our holiday when we stood there and watched the sea planes take off and land also the cruise ships coming and going to Alaska. You will probably not get this until you come home or will you get access to wireless in New Zealand I wonder. Hope you have a good flight to Auckland. Love, Mum. xxxx
