Arrived in Victoria around 3 PM today to a beautiful sunny day. We left our new friends at Bostrums'S B&B (one group from South Germany and the other from Whitehorse in the Yukon). It was about a 4 1/2 hour drive. Victoria is a stunning city with huge baskets of flowers hanging everywhere. This is a holiday weekend in Canada as well so a lot of people - very multicultural. It is great to people watch.

The drive was a little different as the dashboard has MPH and the road signs are all KPH - we learned that a kilometer equals .621 miles - so generally just take the KPH and multiply by 0.6 and you get a rough estimate.

Off on the big train adventure tommorrow! Train leaves Vancouver at 8 PM and arrrives 50 hours later in Winnipeg - should have some great pictures from there.

We did run into Darth Vader playing the Violin on the streets of Victoria...Vavaldi no less.
