vancouver island/tofino trip

hey guys....been a while since i have talked to anyone! just thought i would throw some pics up from our little vancouver excursion. 5 of us from fairmont piled into a car (jill, danny, lizzy max and myself) for a solid 13 hour drive to the coast. the drive was gorgeous, i have never seen such awesome scenery. it was definitely a 'where are we' type of trip.

the first night there we stayed in qualicum beach, an awesome little tourist town surrounded by awesome beaches and mountains. i had never seen the ocean before this trip, so i pretty well instantly ran to the water. it is funny how i had been waiting so long to see the ocean, and once i got there it reminded me of home.

the next day we played on the beach for a while, i ran in the water a few times, and discovered sand dollars and sand crabs. they are pretty fun....oh and i collected a shit load of shells.

that night we went to a party at jill's cousin's place. the family is cooler than any family i have met.....the dad was the last one awake, he was still kickin at like 8am. they have a skate park in the backyard. we were tanked.

the next day we went to tofino. after a 3 hour drive on some sketchy yet gorgeous roads through boreal rainforest we hit the coast. we bummed around tofino for a while, we had the intent of surfing yet we arrived too late to rent anything. so i went swimming in long beach anyway. freezing. but awesome. bought dread wax and sandals. 😊

the drive home was exhausting. it seemed to take way longer to get home....

other than that, there are many many many stories to tell. haha. banff hitchhiking roadtrips, canmore partying with the pocketdwellers and sweatshop union, jasper road trips to come, warped tour coming up, my birthday night wasridiculous....loser drunk is the phrase, partying in invermere. etc etc....

but those stories are for later. i hope all is well, gimme a shout! ill eventually read and respond....i have very limited access to the internet. take care guys! peace out napoleon.

hey em..sounds like ur having a blast, i cant wait to hear all about it whens warp tour? maybe i can make it :) im driving up there aug 7th... so i prob wont get there till the 11th.. aha i cant wait! talk to u soon
