Woke up to another dreary, drizzly day. Kerry went to a tire place at 7 AM to get his new trailer tire mounted on his old rim.

Gena & Bob went to Walmart while Magees finished packing up their camper. Gena wanted some postcards. Had to ask a stocker if they had postcards. She was very helpful and a little talkative. They had patches in addition to the postcards. One of the patches had a Loch Ness like monster on it. The stocker explained that legend has that it is Nessie from Loch Ness and that there is a subterrainian passage that allows Nessie to spend its summers in Lake Okanagan, which lies just to the north of Penticton, BC

We got out of town about 9 AM and headed north up BC 97. Decided to take BC97 all the way to Kamloops - - after the first hour we really had second thoughts about that decision - - lots of cities with lots of traffic and stop lights. The cities are really clean, look new, and had lots of big trees. Also drove by some beautiful lakes. A couple of the spots reminded Bob of driving along the lake shore of lakes in Switzerland. No real high passes today. Followed several picturesque rivers. Made it as far as a small town called Blue River - - Its claim to fame is its Heli-Skiing. None of that going on now, but it is apparantly very popular in the winter. Campground is run by an Austrian fellow who says that he is from the same town as Arnold Schwartseneger(SP?). Rain held off this evening for Kerry to grill marrinated steaks on the grill (YUM YUM !!) - - Raining now.
