Dubai Dubai Dooobuy

I love going to the old souq, the fountains, the creek and of course the massive malls..have not yet been adventurous enough to brave the sand dunes by 4x4 or camel😊

Dubai Fountain is the world’s largest musical fountain and the city’s most popular free tourist attraction. It is set on the Burj Khalifa Lake in Downtown Dubai, between the Dubai Mall, Souk Al Bahar, and the Burj Khalifa.

The fountain consists of a 275 metre long central arc of jets, joined to a smaller arc and 5 circles of jets. When the performance begins these powerful jets shoot water sprays to heights of up to 150 metres in harmony with the music and illuminated by over 6,000 powerful lights and 50 colour projectors.

Performances are held daily and last up to 5 minutes.

Burj Khalifa
With the tallest building now complete we HAD to do a "little" trip to the top....EEEEEEEK!!!!
It was SO worth it, being that high and THAT scared at the same time does something to a person to appreciate life a bit more.
Scary facts:

over 828 metres (2,716.5 feet) and more than 160 stories, Burj Khalifa holds the following records:
Tallest building in the world
Tallest free-standing structure in the world
Highest number of stories in the world
Highest occupied floor in the world
Highest outdoor observation deck in the world
Elevator with the longest travel distance in the world
Tallest service elevator in the world

Yip yes yippideedoodaa that is correct... We had to go up!
The elevator ride up was pretty awesome but I would have preferred 1 or 10 less people in the elevator with us.. But it's over before you know it so I survived😉

In the Dubai Mall one will find not only lots to buy but an amazing fish tank filled with life

It is....The World’s Largest Indoor Aquarium: Measuring 51m X 20m X 11m in size, Dubai Aquarium is credited to be the world’s biggest indoor aquarium. In its enormous tank with the capacity to hold 10 million litres of water, the aquarium has more than 33,000 aquatic animals from over 200 species, such as sharks and rays.
The aquarium’s acrylic panel, weighing more than 2, 45,000 kilograms and measuring 32.8 m X 8.3 m X 750 mm, was featured as the largest of its kind in the world in Guinness Book of World Records’ 2010 edition, crazy!!!!!

ALSO in the mal...

is an amazing water feature that really messes with the mind! The Waterfall runs through the entire height of the mall, traversing all four levels, and is adorned with art sculptures of human divers made of fiberglass to create a dynamic visual spectrum that complements the rhythmic flow of water. Just beautiful.
