Well the Rugby World Cup Sevens were held in Dubai on the weekend and what a weekend it was. The weather was perfect for the event (even a little on the warm side).

But the most amazing thing of all were the results of the quarter finals on finals day. The first game that was up was NZ vs Wales. Imagine my shock and horror when the kiwis lost to Wales 14-15. However the next game was even better. England vs Samoa. At full time the score was 26 all and it was only in extra time that the Samoa's scored the first points knocking the English team out of the Cup in the Quarter Finals. Then it was the turn of South Africa who were playing Argentina. The whole stadium watched on in dis-belief as the Saffas lost to Argentina, making the 3rd major upset of the morning. Then the reigning world champions Fiji were to play Kenya. By this time people were almost expecting Kenya to win...... however everyone was astounded when Kenya did actually win. This meant that NZ, England, SA and Fiji were all knocked out in the quarter finals leaving Wales, Argentia, Samoa and Kenya

The stands were mostly empty for most of the time. Numbers were certainly down from November
to move through.

Bascially most of the stadium was left with noone left to support!

After watching the amazing quarter finals the rest of the day ended up losing its appeal and a lot of people ended up leaving early.

Wales were the eventual winners - who would have picked it!
