Anne cooking at the Gurdwara - Delhi
We made a visit here in Delhi - where the Sikhs go to pray and they always provide food for everybody, it tasted good too.Last Stop and last Blog come to that.
We are now in Dubai and have had four good days exploring the city, we have been round the gold souks, had a boat trip on a dhow in Dubai Creek, been on a desert safari where we had a four wheel drive ride over the sand dunes - that was really hairy! Margaret had her eyes closed all during that experience - much easier jumping out of a plane than bumping over sand dunes. The high rise buildings are an amazing sight and the whole place seems so sparkly clean after the cities in India - it really is a complete contrast here. Buildings going up all the timne we have been told that 75% of all the cranes in the world are here in Dubai.
We have added a few photos of India - believe me it is hard to decide what to include as we have so many images from there.
We have had a marvellous three months and it is now time to head for home - when we think back to all we have seen and done we realise just how many great memories
Hotel staff
Saying goodbye to the group one morning we will always have. We counted the other night that over the three months we had slept in 45 different beds and had ridden on 7 trains, 10 boats, 17 planes, 2 helicopters and 14 long bus journeys and 1 elephant!!. What a life eh - you never know what we might get up to next.
Thank you to all those who have sent messages - we really enjoyed getting them - it kept us in touch and we looked forward to tuning in. Anyway the Intrepid Duo are signing off for the last time and its goodbye from her and her.!!!
