now this is a special place! a volcanic region, sort of in the middle of Turkey, and land has been sculptured over the years by layers of fallen volcanic ash and rock, and valleys where the waters have eroded it. truely an amazing place, and I think my favorite part of Turkey that I got to see. I was lucky enough to be in town for the annual town feast, where the mayor of whatever puts on a spread to feed the whole town. not baaaaad

cool chick from Canada who'll probably feature a bit in blogs to come because we're meeting up in Jordan and going to head down into Egypt together.

this is like 3am, somewhere between Cappadocia and Istanbul, and this food stop on the side of the high way is packed! it's a pretty big country, so people do night trips so they can sleep through the 12hr busrides around the place
and they love this stuffand they love this stuff
and they love this stuff

they have a guy on the bus, who's job is pretty much load your bags onto the bus, spill tea on you in the morning, and dish out this stuff about 20times during the trip. it's a lemon flavored hand sanitiser and they absolutely love it!!
