04 October 2012 Oludeniz is a leading paragliding centre with the take off at 1700m near the summit of Mount Baba and the landing on the resort’s promenade at sea level. As Kevin was organising tandem flights, I decide to have a go. The expedition consisted of travelling up a steep dirt road in a battered mini bus, an exiting take off from a specially prepared area, spectacular views of the coast as we floated along on our 20 minute flight, a few stomach churning acrobatics, and the landing with many spectators enjoying the sunny conditions.
Following this, Wendy, Dave and Liz calmed my nerves by taking me for a gentle swim and then a long relaxing fried calamari lunch.
In the evening we had a group Turkish meal at a restaurant run by the campsite owner’s brother.
