24 September 2012 All fifteen vans followed Kevin to the ferry at Eceabat and crossed the Dardanelles to Canakkle and thereby entered Asia.
We drove 25k and had a guided tour of the nine different cities which were built at Troy between 3000BC and 500AD. I thought it was more of an archaeological investigation than a particularly impressive site. We had most fun climbing into the wooden horse that was sited at the entrance to the grounds.
We continued another 200k, partly on winding country roads to the market own of Bergama where we had an exciting drive through the centre on its busy narrow cobbled streets to reach our campsite.
