Sam Kadorian is an Armenian genocide survivor. At the time, he was a very young boy when the genocide was occurring. He says that all of the boys between five and ten years old were taken and forced to go into a file by the Gendarmes. The Gendarmes used their swords and Bayonets to start killing most of the boys there. One of the bayonets was used on Sam Kadorian. They struck him on the upper side of his right cheek. Blood was dripping down, and it smelled like blood because of all the deceased bodies. Sam was not able to scream due to the fact that he was afraid that they would finish the job and kill him. Many Turks refuse to acknowledge the fact that this genocide even occurred. What lead these people to do such horrible things to the Armenians? The point of being deported was so that the Armenians could suffer longer. I believe this lead the Turks to feel superior.
