We had decided on a beach day and took a drive up to Ladies Mile Beach, just outside Limassol.
The wind was kinder to us today than on our last visit and we there spent a very pleasant time soaking up the sun.
I hadn’t realised how gradual the drop was and you can walk quite a way out before you achieve much depth. There were a lot more people about today.
We had a lunch at the Café.
Monday was a visit to the Archaeological World Heritage site just off the harbour.
We saw more of the mosaics, that we missed last time. A warm day and a great place to stroll around. A very big site.
We had a snack lunch in the Seagull, with a view overlooking the harbour.
Tuesday, following the phone call on the previous Friday, we were gearing up for our stuff to arrive between 12 and 3. We had decided on a cooked breakfast at 10 o’clock to set us up for the day, as we knew that we may not get chance to eat later.
Pat was cooking the breakfast
at ten, when the phone rang, the removal men were 15 minutes away and where precisely were we?
Directions were given and we stopped the breakfast preparations.
The van duly arrived and we were delivered successfully of all of our boxes. We had heard a number of tales of boxes going missing in transit, so were very happy.
Some of the bigger stuff, like outside furniture we were able to find a home for straight away and the rest we left for later unpacking.
Wednesday, Pat and my Mother went shopping leaving my Father and me to put up an Ikea unit.
Thursday my Father wanted to treat us to a BBQ, so we went in search of a Butchers, which we found on what we call Furniture store road, then down to Carrefour. We popped out Agios Georgios for a snack lunch, then out to Akamas to Lara beach and a quick drink at the Last Castle. We then wanted to visit Shoe Emporiou, for my parents to look at Shoe’s. Pat bought three pairs of Shoes, I bought one pair, the parents bought none!
We had the BBQ in the evening. Great food.
Friday we were to have a Pool Party, one of our neighbours had suggested a get together, which we happily agreed too.
Pat popped out in the morning to do some shopping, Dad and I went looking for some duty free for him.
The party was a great success BBQ’s going, far too much food and plenty to drink.
Saturday my parents day of return. We drove up to Larnaca to have some lunch and a quick look around. Then dropped them off at the Airport and returned home.
In the following days we moved stuff around and finished putting the Ikea unit together. Then the slow process of trying to find a home for things.
