Hi everyone,

Well we arrived back from a long weekend spent in North Wales today, rather tired and of the opinion that two nights in North Wales was one night too many..... Very picturesque, Wales doesn't really have much for the tourist....and let's face it - that's what we are!! The scenery got a little "samie" after a while... We started off our trip in Wales in Llangollen, which was a very cute little town. We had a picnic lunch here. Then we drove through Betsw-y-Coed, (which was so cute we went back again yesterday!) on our way to Caernarvon. We had a look at Caernavon Castle at dusk, however it was too late to visit. We then made our way to Pensarn where we were to stay for two nights in a guest house (with "shared facilities"!! I didn't know that when I made the booking!!!!). We had dinner at a pub in Llandudno (a very nice Victorian seaside resort on the North Wales coast - very pretty and popular with the English in summer) and then retired to bed as we knew we had a big day of driving ahead of us the next day! Anyway the next

Wes has called him "Knuts"....cause he's a Ford...in Knutsford....go figure....
day we drove more around North Wales, and as I said earlier it all began to become a bit "samie". We did visit a town built entirely on slate rubble! That was quite wierd and quite ugly... It apparently used to be the slate capital of Wales. We also visited Conwy Castle, which was Wes' first castle (which he was very excited about!!).

Ohhhh I have totally forgotten to mention that the reason we could do all this driving around Wales is that we have bought a car!!! YAY!! So that has given us a feeling of more independence!!!

Other very important news I forgot to mention at any other stage is that we rented out the unit on the day we left! So that was obviously a HUGE weight off our minds!!

Anyway, on to the job front. Wes is meeting with a marketing agency tomorrow afternoon - hopefully they'll offer him some work!! There is also a possiblity for me of a two month administrator role in a recruitment company in Knutsford (which would be absolutely ideal!!!), however there is someone in the role at the moment and it all hinges on whether she decides to go home to New Zealand to visit her family in January. (I'm hoping she does!!). Otherwise there's an eight month position in a very nearby town working as an administrator for the local council (for the finance department!!) - but it would mean at least eight months of security and the good thing about being a temp - if something else comes up you're not tied down!! So I'll keep you posted.....

Anyway, enjoy the pictures!! Email me at victoriabenger@yahoo.com.au, Wes at wesleyfawaz@yahoo.com.au or both of us as wesandvic@yahoo.co.uk - we love hearing from everyone at home!! We can't get enough emails so keep them coming!

Love Vic and Wes

Very funny looking. They all have their tales and have long fluffy hair! They climb the hills like mountain goats!

That big "hill" in the background is tonnes and tonnes of slate waste - from the quarry! And those are houses just in front!!

A nice Victorian town - easy to imagine it a hundred years ago. Would be very nice in summer!
