This morning we left Kilkenny for the drive back to Dublin to catch a flight to Scotland and goodbye to Ireland which has been a great week of exploring this wonderful country with such beautiful people.

We arrived in scotland, picked up our bags and followed everyone else exiting with no customs checks. Welcome to Scotland. After the shitbox in Ireland, we decided to get SatNav and Automatic upgrades, so now we have a very nice B-Class Merc. We immediately left Edinburgh for Hawick and catching up with the Stanger Family.

What an arrival in Hawick, it was so great to pick up our friendships with Elizabeth, Pete and Tracey, and Dave and Lyn. We also got to meet some of their kids who were not born first time we met in New Zealand for Midge and Ange's wedding. In true Scottish tradition, they opened their house and hearts to us and we all enjoyed a fantastic evening. I am especially treasuring my second Quaich and bottle of Hawick Balls famously loved by Rugby commentator Bill McLaren.
