Inverness and on to Edinburgh

Happy 4th of July to everyone back in the states! Terrible weather day here for the most part. We started the day seeing a couple sights close to Inverness. The Culloden Battlefield where the Scots (who thought one of their guys should be king!) were thoroughly overmatched and routed in a battle with the British army - over 1000 killed and the battle lasted less than an hour. Then we visited Cawdor Castle (of 'Macbeth' fame). Very interesting and still lived in.
We left for Edinburgh in the mid-afternoon and as we got close to the city, it finally stopped raining and we saw the sun for the first time today. Tomorrow looks like a rarity - no rain forecast! We'll see ...

You were expecting maybe Miami Beach?
I see that the weather has been typically "British." Was this a big surprise? All joking aside, it seems that you are haveing a great time, and I'm green with envy. Keep up the good work. Chris
