Piper outside Blair Castle
Day 11; I can't believe how fast the time has passed, in one week I will be on my way home. Today we headed south and stopped in a picturesque little village called Pitlochry. It's a small theater town with the usual touristy shops. There is also a salmon ladder here that actually counts the number of salmon that swim up the ladder. This area is known for its salmon fishing, permits are required.

We then traveled to Blair Castle, the home of the Duke of Atholl, who is the only man in Britain to have a private army. Again there are no words to describe the beauty of the architecture and finishes of this still inhabited castle.

Next stop, St Andrews, my picture is at the 18th hole of the Old course, not really a big deal for me but could be for a golfer. The game of golf was first played here 600 years ago.

We then crossed the Firth of Forth to the Scottish capital, Edinburgh. We had dinner at a local restaurant, The merchants. The food was great, fast and hot. Before dinner we toured a graveyard close to the restaurant. Rachel our travel

guide told us a story that inspired a Disney film, about the loyalty displayed by a dog, read this story on one of the attached pictures, apparently this is a true story. Enjoy and good night.

Hello
Hey, So exciting to read about your trip. It sounds like you are having a great time. We will have to do dinner when you get home (and have rested up) so I can hear all about it - first hand. Safe travels, Steph
