We awoke to a fresh breeze that had sprung up overnight but the weather was still clear. The coastal road between Boulogne and Calais was enjoyed and the channel crossing uneventful although the sea got increasingly rough. Soon after we left Dover the rain started and we had a very wet and windy drive home, but thankfully there were no traffic delays.
During this four week trip we drove a fairly leisurely 2,400 miles. Our activities were varied. D day landing areas, Bayeux tapestry, war cemeteries and memorials, attractive towns, beautiful coastal and river scenery in autumn colours, ancient churches and abbeys and meeting up with other Murvi owners will all stick in the memory. And there is still plenty left to see in this area of France.
