friday july 4th- amazing weather. hyde park (we love squirrels, double decker busses, dogs are posh), wireless festival (lightspeed champion cute, dirty pretty things beautiful, morrissey fantasticccc etc etc. all got really sunburnt which is pretty embarrassing)

saturday- reunion number 1! alex rooke! met after he got lost looking for 'pencil grove' station ( we are at kensal green...) camden market, trafalgar square, leicester square, picadilly circus. alex was meant to be showing us the london nightlife, took us to the walkabout which is an aussie pub (typical) where we randomly ran into some other people he knows so spent the whole night in a big group of australians! easing ourselves into it haha. moved on to a more typical british pub, people keep thinking our accent is south african

sunday- met alex at euston station, bussed to oxford st, shopped and wandered

monday- met alex at wellinton arch where we had been planning to meet up with a free walking tour (we were late and missed it, obv) headed down to southbank and walked along, saw big ben, london eye, westminster abbey (?- so confused about the names of things), went to the tate modern (amazing!), met up with drew who we met on sat, searched for about an hour for food, found food, planned to go more sightseeing but it was pouring with rain so went to the pub instead! headed back to hostel and now here we are in a seedy internet cafe down the road 😊

tuesday- reunion number 2! james manning and ross. we did the national gallery, with alex as well, had lunch, saw the outside of st pauls and enjoyed the stressed out tour guide trying to stop people entering, bussed to a suburb called benthall green for some reason, came back to hostel and did a crossword! woot! except roz sucks at them

wednesday- late start, london museum and went to the evensong service at st pauls. it is the most amazing building ever, ever ever, so beautiful and overwhelming. isab cried. great times! splashed out and had our first restaraunt meal- pizza hut! but it is pretty posh here apparently? lots of old lady brits in their finery and we had to line up....weird....pourrred with rain so home to bed.

thursday- early start to go see changing of the guards at buckingham palace, ridiculously overcrowded, worth it i guess? guards and horses and stuff, you know whateverr. wanted to see 10 downing st but it was all blocked pfft, were mega tourists at big ben and westminster, ditched the london eye to go to the theatre on the west end! like real grown ups we are haha. saw phantom of the opera at her majestys, it was great! except school group from greece or somewhere sitting all around us talked through the whole thing, we made some enemies telling them to shut it.

friday- sleep in! our first one it was great! woke up and found we had a new roomie and didnt leave the hostel till 130. saw portebello markerts (mary poppins!) they are lovely! reunion number 3! ellen! took her to see the sights of kensal green- our hostel and the internet cafe haha ....

two more nights in london then heading down to chichester to stay at alexs school, he has a cinema we are PUMPED.

missing and loving you! this was even a joint effort kinda!
