For the Easter weekend in changeable weather, we joined some of our friends from the Cave and Crag Club at Roselands Campsite just outside the small town of St Just not far from Landsend in Cornwall.

On the Saturday we joined Bill and Joan for a walk over the local moors to the surprising complete ruins of the Carn Euny iron age settlement. On the way back, a climb up to the summit of Carn Brea hill gave us fine views over the coast.

Easter Sunday saw the two of us passing the sites of many old mines to walk a stretch of the coastal path form Kenidjack Castle by Boscean to St Helen’s Chapel on Cape Cornwall. The forecast heavy rain and strong winds started at midday so we beat a hasty retreat to St Just where Stuart kindly picked us up, so we didn’t get too wet.
