This is the second part of my trip to Newcastle (England) three weeks ago, Sunderland in particular and I had a side trip to South Shields beautiful coastline, the Marsden Bay. One of the interesting attractions in the area is the Marsden Grotto, or commonly known as 'Grotto' - a popular pub or public house could be found and not to be missed!

I dont have any information about the area so I decided to do some research on the web. It turned out that Marsden Bay is the home of seabird colonies such as Kittiwakes, Fulmars and Gulls. Honestly, I was suprised to see alot of birds flying and they are noisy white feather creature!

Aside from these bird colonies, I have this awesome feeling to see this rock formation along the coast which I have only seen on BBC's documentary TV series, entitled Coast.

The Grotto is a stunning pub which has dining areas inside the cave. This place was also popular because of the name of Smuggler's Jack - a miner way back in 1782.
