In case you didn't know (and im assuming you don't ) we aim to travel to Tokyo for a month. Then move on to OZ for two months then New Zealand finishing off in Thailand. Average budget for each country for a month stay minimum :800 pounds Japan, 600 Pounds OZ, 600 New Zealand and 400 Thailand totalling just over 4000 pounds this is quote: " a Budget living a basic standard of living with very little room for luxury". We don't have 4000 pounds and in hindsight we can really only afford to go away for 3-4 months however we just decided one day to book the flights by ringing up a Guy called...Guy who said we could throw in New Zealand for free....and we aren't the people to let freebies go!

So how the hell our we going to survive all these months? Are we going to sell our Bodies? Become Lab Rats for experiments in Brisbane? No my dear friends the answer lies in two words....

Tent

CD's

Yes the Tent the most humble of abodes, the confides of drunken festival goers and horny teenagers in Newquay. We shall CAMP our way across these distant lands, mother nature requires no fee to stay on her warm Earth! And CD'S? Well I happen to be a budding Musician and one half off the Psychedelic Space Rap due "Sleep Record" (www.sleep-record.com), we have released five albums as of now so I am taking ( along with Max who also features in some of the songs) 500 of these babies to sell at a cheap rate so we can eat! I also DJ and as im away ill spin Vinyl for next to nothing ( as long as its Old School or House!).
I play Guitar so BUSKING. Not only is this good financially but it will also help us get the Music out there. and 10 pounds a day is more then enough for food!

In terms of actual plans when we get their we aim to buy the following a JR Pass ( www.JRpass.com) for two weeks. A JR pass is permit to travel on the majority of Shinkansen ( Bullet trains) across the country. We are looking at 380 pounds- a sizable chunk of our 800 pound budget for Japan, but we have to remember why we are there in the first place...to explore, there's no point in being stuck in Tokyo for 4 weeks! Again in Australia we plan to purchase another train pass which enables us to board trains going up the east coast and along the main land to Perth this will also set us back 200-300 pounds. We aim to board the infamous Kiwi Bus in New Zealand then hop on a Plane down to Thailand to get in some rays.

My good old Mother has hooked us up with some friends of hers in Oz, exploring the East Coast should be intresting.

We both finish work soon and its going to be lush once I leave the doors of my open prison for the very last time! Once we land in Narita all that har...work would of paid off and we can look forward to a nice time away. Hopefully we will not get seriously ill or be gang raped by angry hordes of Thais.
:)
