In the heart of the village, a busy duck pond - full of quacking ducks, swooping herring gulls and inquisitive Canada geese.
Sunday 17 February - With the sun beating so warmly and brightly into our cosy Coach House, and seeing the clear blue skies, we decided to grab the opportunity to step out for our first stroll following Lavinia's operation three weeks ago. We chose to head to the lovely village of Chislehurst in Kent; a village we are very fond of and just a five minute drive from our house. We love exploring the commons, woods, impressive houses and delightful duck ponds in Chislehurst - the next time we move house we'd love to make this picturesque village our home.

Unfortunately on Friday 15 February Lavinia had a post operative scare, which led to a very worrying 5 hours in A&E; various tests and examinations were carried out on her. Thankfully Lavinia was given the all clear and told she was fit and healthy. Phew! So strolling around charming Chislehurst really helped to lift our spirits after our scare on Friday evening. We have been advised that in three weeks time Lavinia will have recovered from her operation. Fortunately Lavinia is making a very good physical recovery. We cannot wait to throw on our hiking boots and climb those mountains

again! On 15 March we will be heading to the spectacular mountainous peaks and breathtaking scenery on the Isle of Skye in Scotland to resume our stamina building hiking training in readiness for our fundraising hike along the Pennine Way starting on 27 April - only 70 days to go!

We have already raised £923.00 towards our fundraising effort, thank you so much for your kind donations. With your continued support, hopefully we will be able to raise a lot more money for the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust. If you would like to assist us in our fundraising effort, please log onto www.ectopic.org.uk/fundraising/?p=46. Many thanks.
