Making our way to the ground Hi Random Fans!
Another late one i know. I will have to learn to do less on my weekends. Thanks for all you comments so far, some are stranger than others, But all are welcome.
With Mac at Worthing it was the return of the Willis to attend with me the visit of Swansea City, to the home of football that is, the Priestfield Stadium.
On the way down i was running through a few things from, the Millwall game with Willis. Telling her that we look a lot more likely to score these days and, watch out for the new keeper, flanders. All things considered a draw will do today as they are a good side and i bet that cheatin get, Leon Knight, will try and dive........................Lets see.
Gills Kicked off and looked quite liveley in the opening ecxhanges. It wasn't long before we all got our first chance of the afternoon to boo Mr Knight!! Lots of shirt pulling, and pushing and shoving our keeper at corners and free kicks. Now somone i know at Gills, always tells me that Gill's never score from corners!!
When our first corner arrived, Clint Easton delivered a short

Tommy T rouses the crowd ball back to Danny Jackman who shaped to swinng the ball in. It was at this point i said " Well done, another overhit cross". The ball dipped and Ian Cox swung his left foot on the half volley and the ball duely bounced into the bottom corner 1-0.
It took a couple of seconds for it to sink in before all of Block 1 were on their feet applauding the spritely Mr Cox.
Looking particulary sharp in the first half were Easton, Jarvis and Mullers for the Gills. Fotr the Swans Britton, Robinson and Knight looked to be the dangermen.
Gills began to build on their momentum and it wasn't to long before the next goal arrived care of the Jarvis Express!! Flynn won the ball on the right hand side of the centre circle, and pushed through a lovley ball for the express to run onto. The Swans defence backed off to much and Dennis Lawrence was quite unsure of what to do next. Jarvo burts past him on the outside and from the edge of the box unleahed a right foot shot into the roof of the next!! 2-0.
Gills then proceeded to take their

Little L Knight looks for somewhere to dive! foot off the gas alittle and the Swansd had plenty of possesion, free kicks and corners but to no avail. Halftime.
It was at this point when the Gordon Rammsey Story began to unfold. I won't go into it to protect the innocent, but i'm sure even its very mention will raise a smile in certain homes!
I predicted that Swansea would definatley come out at us in the second half but, i beleive that we have another goal in us!! The Majority agreed with the usual nods and "We'll see".
Second half underway and there were no changes made by either side. Unexpectedly, Swansea didn't change their system and seemed content to try and hold us up for a bit??? Maybe they knew of our reputation for tiring in the last 15 mins. 10 mins later they made a triple sub and took off 2 of their better midfielders in my opinion. 60 mins played and the battling Mulligan had to be replaced by big Dave. Gary had done his Batering Ram Impression ery well for a full hour and was now knackered!!
Matt Jarvis Wasted 2 very good chances. First he blazed over a one

Theres no more f in football on one and the cries of "don't lean"backrang around the Rainham End. Then flynn had a good effort from long before booting the ball at the Gillingham Football Club sign on thr Grodon Road stand roof. The F exploded and everyone cheered!! The sharper tools inthe box were quick to point out that there was no f in football at Gillingham!
Flynn however is destined to end up with the awrd for most shots off target this season, i estimate he will be in 3 figures by the end of the season!! But i don't care as long as he keeps trying!!
On 79 mins Cox made the points safe with his second of the match when a corner was not cleared five times and when it finally dropped top Coxy he has all the time in the world to pick his spot and smash the ball home. I was unable to get the camera in-time for a very strange jig in a circle celebration!! Rather amusing though. Swansea rallied and as they has thought we tired a bit. Leon "Little Git" Knight saw his first shot extremley well saved only to score with a good overhead kick.

The Gills go home Happy Swansea then had the ball in the net from a cross but it was rightyly ruled out for a foul on the keeper. Knight also had a shot hit the out side of the post. I was glad we had scored 3 or might have collapsed under the strain.
Full time it ends 3-1 to the Gills, but it was closer than u might think even though we missed a few chances to increase our lead.
Everyone went home happy and we moved up the table to 12th.
Thanks for reading
