the cottage

it's been awhile since I've written in this space. As you may have guessed Sean and I have been very busy enjoying our time with Avalon. If you didn't know already, Sean is working full time and freelancing, and we now live in Hitchin which is a very lovely market town. We live in a very lovely area of town in a two up two down cottage.

Everything is good we are members at the local library, getting to meet other moms, and at the end of summer our community neighbors had a BBQ in the park behind ours which was really great because we actually got to meet some of our other neighbors. Very un-English event in my mind - kind of like a neighborhood block party ! Loads of kids playing footie (soccer) and plenty of Q's going for grub. The weather wasn't great so the numbers were a bit low but then again England was playing in cricket, rugby and futbol (soccer) we didn't stay long as Avalon's nap time approached but we did Q our burgers ( Sean did and they were yummy).

Overall not much to report, Avalon has her passports (UK/USA) so we will indeed be traveling to Frascati (Rome) Italy for Tim and Francesca's wedding at the beginning of October! So hope to catch up with our Italian family of friends soon!

Wow, what a kid, what a life!
Thanks for sending out your latest beautiful pics and news. Avalon is beautiful and it's hard to think that she is so old, already. Teeth! We will just miss you in the Castelli; we'll be staying in Ariccia for 3 weeks in early Dec. playing lots of piano and seeing friends. Have fun! Cynthia L

Esther, Looks like life is really great for you. Sure hope to see you in October, though I know you'll be busy. Maybe we can have a walking group get-together. Deanna
