Wimbledon ... In a word ... WOW!
What an amazing, electric day.
Where to start?
The grounds were beautiful and intimate. Most courts had just 3 rows of seats. We were so close that we could hear the players talking to themselves, and sometimes cursing themselves (this is a "G" rated blog, so lets just say there was cursing).
We watched the Bryan Brothers win a "Gentlemen's Doubles" match, and then we spent the rest of the day moving between a number of entertaining singles matches.
We drank some Pimms (which were very tasty) and we ate some strawberries, the better to enjoy the experience.
Finally, home-town favorite (and Olympic Gold Medalist) Andy Murray played. Certre Court was jammed, but more impressive was the crowd of about 10 thousand sitting on the lawn, in the pouring rain, watching Andy's victory on the big screen.
What a Fantastic day!
